In the garden stuffed with straw
Was erected scarecrow.
It was gloomy, dull and sad,
It was feeling very bad.
It possessed no charm and glamour
And it lived in hardest drama.
It was almost at the end,
That it had no real friend.
But fate is always controversial -
In its need it showed some mercy.
A starling, driven by distress,
Hid from hawk in its straw chest.
Finding up that scarecrow
Was much better than the hawk,
The starling announced overall
For scarecrow's beautiful soul.
From all the valley's farest ends
came to it a lot of friends
And this biggest bunch of fellows
Ate the whole amount of mellons.
Sometimes one is in a distress
And needs a friendly warm caress
But friendship has no size or measures
It often costs the largest treasures.
