The Lion's Trace

Once two hunters found a trail,
It looked like left from lion's paws.
Imagining the lion's nails,
They felt some fear, I suppose.

The first proceeded though his fear,
The second was still hesitating:
He didn't want to get too near
To all the danger, that was waiting.

The first just frowned in suspission
And said, while slowing down his pace:
"Why don't we go on other mission
To see from where has come this trace."

In our words we always dare
To look the danger in the eyes.
But I am going just to share,
That sometimes words are only lies.
