The Tide

You move like the sea,
You cast your waves on me
And I am moving too,
A boat that rocks,
And then you pull,
You pull me from the dock
And towards you

 

Lure me in the open,
Take me to the bottom
In your maelstrom.
The closer that I come,
The fiercer the storm;
I know I will resurface in the calm
That afterwards unfolds,
To fall asleep afloat,
Not wanting to return to shore,

But in your arms...
