Tell me
Did they fall like dying leaves
Like rose petals
When they saw
Your body melting
in the snow of stone?
Did you feel your bright light
disappearing in seconds
before their sight,
Like a knight fulfilling her oath
Like a kite ready to take its last flight?
Tell me did you fall,
Crumbling,
Trembling, giving in.
Your blood - white creek,
sank beneath the crimson peak.
And your body now is lying weak.
Did you hear them speak?
Calling out your name
"Don't fall asleep",
"Don't leave".
Your vision is blurring the living dream.
Hands holding you tight
Almost gone
Half a breath is taken
As a loan.
Tell me
Did they fall on their knees
Despaired and destroyed
Cursing, crying and alone?
"I'm going home.
See you there" - you whispered
Taking your last breath of air
"We won't let you go anywhere,
We swear." - they said
as if they chose to forget
Your pledge when you first met.
Through silver tears
Like spears
You gave them a smile,
Caressing their faces
Leaving gentle traces of red
When the misty curtain came
You closed your eyes
And fade.
Still holding
tight your palms in theirs,
Quietly casting your name,
Kissing your forehead,
Caressing your hair,
Embracing you,
Feeling your warmth
(Now extinguishing)
Watching your face
It looked as if
it was peacefully sleeping,
Their souls were weeping.
No one could dim the love
You felt.
No one could replace the hole
In theirs hearts when
You left.
No one could ever forget
Your scent.
Tell me
Did they fall
Like dying leaves,
Like rose petals
Broken, crying and alone?
