Nightflower

  Poetry

Flowers of the night,
they're coming uninvited.
The messenger of light
hunts them with exitement.

They're coming to my door,
i'm standing right to open
Smell their beauty, just that close,
surrendered and unspoken.

I welcomed them in tears
and let them in my room.
Escaping all the fears,
i know that they're my cure.

I pick just one of all
and put it on my pillow.
I named it "Jessica" and fall
into her hair of willow.

So please come over me,
deliver me salvation,
and we'll just let it be-
desire and temptation.
