Standing by the roadside,
Taking in the view
Betty's looking lonely
Looking for a crew
Holding cherry blossom
Tightly in her grasp
Betty's heart, a chasm
Which she cannot mask
Waiting for the sunrise,
Staring at the gloom,
Listening to laughs and cries
Of men in their youth
She has known a few
Remembers them in pain
Other friends she'll meet anew
And see them out again
Betty's standing lonely,
It's killing her to wait
Fate approaches crawling
Reaching out her way
Tightly holding on
To her cherry blossom,
Betty must be strong
To let it fall tomorrow
